About me

I am a PhD in Material Science with over 10 years of experience specializing in solid-state analytics, crystallography, and pharmaceutical characterization. My expertise spans X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRPD), including Synchrotron (S-XRPD) and laboratory-based methods, as well as thermal analysis, spectroscopy, and data-driven process optimization.

Throughout my career, I have focused on pharmaceutical solid-state analytics, including material identification, polymorphism characterization, and stability studies of small molecules and proteins. I have extensive experience providing expert support for intellectual property (IP) protection, including assisting with patent litigation. During a Hatch-Waxman patent dispute, I was recognized as an expert in the characterization and analysis of pharmaceutical compounds using Synchrotron X-ray Powder Diffraction by the Delaware Court.

I provide scientifically rigorous and independent XRPD analysis to help legal professionals assess material similarity, identify potential infringement, and defend intellectual property claims. Whether you're confirming material authenticity, analyzing phase differences, or providing expert testimony, I offer litigation-ready reports and court-admissible evidence that strengthen your legal position.

Key Expertise:

  • X-Ray Powder Diffraction (XRPD) – Expert in both Synchrotron and laboratory-based analysis for material characterization and patent disputes.

  • Pharmaceutical solid-state characterization – Specializing in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), excipients, and detecting impurities or polymorphs in drug formulations.

  • Intellectual Property support – Consulting for Hatch-Waxman litigation, providing scientific evidence for patent disputes, and recognized as an expert in Synchrotron XRPD analysis for pharmaceutical compounds.

  • Scientific method development – Innovating new methodologies for solid-state analysis, high-throughput screening, and advanced data analysis.

  • Expert testimony – Delivering clear, unbiased, and court-ready reports and offering testimony when required.

I am dedicated to providing precise, confidential, and independent analysis to support legal teams navigating patent litigation and intellectual property disputes. My work ensures that you receive scientifically grounded, litigation-ready data that allows for informed, confident decision-making.
